Hickstead September Tour: Week 1

The Lincoln Stud team enjoyed a successful first week at the Hickstead September Tour, with strong performances across several competitive classes.

Anne Nelson had a particularly positive tour with her two homebred horses. Riding Ashmolean, she finished 10th in the 1.10m qualifier, securing a place in the International Arena 1.10m Amateur class. The pair then jumped a super round in the iconic arena, finishing with just four faults.

Anne also partnered Tropical Storm to sixth place in the British Novice, producing a confident and competitive round.

In the Newcomers, Michaela Tomlinson and Z7 Calmini, owned by Olivia Taplin, secured 13th place in a highly competitive class, adding another encouraging result to their season.

Our two exciting five-year-olds, Limited Touch and Colja, also performed brilliantly. Both horses jumped two super rounds in the 1m classes, gaining valuable experience and continuing to show plenty of promise.

Overall, it was a very encouraging first week at Hickstead, with consistent performances and plenty to build on throughout the rest of the September Tour.
