Consistent Performances at the Hickstead Derby Meeting
The Hickstead Derby Meeting provided another valuable week of competition for the Lincoln Stud team, with our horses continuing to gain experience and confidence across a range of classes.
Colja, Limited Touch and Z7 Merrylegs all produced consistently good rounds in the 1m classes, showing the rideability and straightforward attitudes that have become hallmarks of their performances this season. Each horse continues to develop well with every outing, taking the atmosphere and technical tracks in their stride.
Z7 Calmini impressed throughout the meeting, jumping confidently around some particularly strong Newcomers courses. The quality of the classes made for an excellent education, and Calmini's attitude and ability continue to suggest an exciting future as the season progresses.
It was also great to see Anne Nelson and Tropical Storm produce some lovely rounds in the 1m classes. The partnership is continuing to strengthen, with the pair gaining confidence and consistency together.
The Derby Meeting is always one of the highlights of the summer calendar, offering an excellent opportunity for young horses and riders to gain valuable experience at one of the country's most iconic venues. We were delighted with how the horses performed throughout the week and look forward to building on these results over the coming months.
Thank you to everyone involved in producing and supporting the horses both at home and at the shows.
