Lincoln Stud is a professional training and competition stables in the South East of England, dedicated to producing quality showjumpers and supporting riders at every stage of their journey. Led by Michaela, the yard has a strong track record of developing young horses through the levels and achieving consistent results in the ring. Alongside horse production, Lincoln Stud offers expert coaching for riders across Kent, Sussex, and Surrey, with a focus on building confidence, refining technique, and preparing combinations for success.
Founder of Lincoln Stud, Michaela Tomlinson is a BHSI-qualified rider, coach, and lifelong horsewoman with a reputation for producing exceptional horses and riders across eventing, showjumping, and point-to-point.
Having grown up through the Warlingham Pony Club, Michaela quickly developed her passion for eventing, later working with Lucy Thompson’s Asprey Event Team before founding Lincoln Stud in 1992. Over the years, she has produced and competed a number of standout horses, including Welton Flapjack, Silver Shadow, Not Before Time, and Coolparks Sarco - now known for his international results with Piggy March.
Today, Michaela focuses on British Showjumping, competing her main horse Westpoint Grandure alongside several owner horses. Her calm, consistent approach and deep understanding of horse development have made her a trusted name among riders and owners alike.
Michaela combines decades of experience with a genuine love of the sport - creating an environment where horses are developed to their unique requirements, riders are supported fully, and excellence is achieved through dedication and care.
